Six down, TWO more to go!
1 more preview, and after the actual show on the 9th of August, NDP as part of my ns journey will finally be completed. It has been a relatively eventful two months plus of rehearsals, with stress building up on us increasingly as we will be in the limelight of the show, since it has never been done before. Every week, as the m3g moved behind the back of the floating platform, out to the direction of the merlion, in full view of everyone on the platform, the esplanade, and even foreign workers from the integrated resort, we will be very nervous as each of our every actions will be in full scrutiny by the crowd. Relief only comes after we sucessfully fired all nineteen shots and showcase to them what artillery has been doing for the past 44 years.
Although thats the end of the show, its not the end of work for us though. Every week since june we have been doing cease-firing in the night hours of around nine pm. Even though its tiring, everyone put in their best effort and quickly dismantle things like lightings, lightning conductors, wiring safety railings and most importantly the guns itself. finally when all work were done, my stand-in bq yong sheng will give out the dessert of the night - tau huay. journeying back to camp at 40km/h on the expressway without falling asleep is a remarkable feat that all of us are supposed to achieve, before the day finally ends.

well for once i used the time to explore the running routes around my neighbourhood. to my surprise, there is very well-maintained running route around my house that goes around toh guan to toh tuck, den from there to bukit batok and back to toh guan again. i think judging from the timing, the route is around 6-7km. saw many foreign workers along the way, and more surprisingly, saw many kids around my neighbourhood. i also din know that there were so many people jogging around this area. all in all, a cool night run with many things to see.
if there is one thing i would really want to do now, it would be to take up a open water diving license in malaysia and dive away!

The 6th Potty..
Its an 'Exceptionally Ordinary' movie, with an Exceptional Cast (all eyes on a certain Watson of cuz), Exceptionally humourous small scenes and an Exceptionally sad ending. Despite all the exceptionalities, its quite worth the watch even if you have never read the book, except that it might be quite hard to understand some parts. I have said sometime ago in the deep archives of this blog that Luna Lovegood is by far my favourite character and this movie don't disappoint. =)
10km - 50 minutes 30 seconds @ ECP
Training for army half marathon is well underway, with each week clocking at least 5km. 10km at one go is probably the farthest i have done so far and its still bearable. Though i think i need to buy a new pair of running shoes if i want to run any further.
Iron House Idol @ 4SAB Auditorium
As expected, I didn't made it to the finals. Den again, i thought i wasnt taking part of the thing to start with. Now that i think about it, i really gotta thank chun meng for entering me into this performance thing. Its probably the first time i have to perform to so many people in a event since playing the keyboard for 5 years. So i went to dig into the songs that i practiced and searched for youtube on how the pros do it. den thats when i realised the only way i can make it is to play a medley, so thats left like only one night to figure out how to link the three songs i have chosen together. in the end? i think it was okay, at least there werent any boos and instead much support from my battery. it was really quite a fun experience. ^
if you never try, you will never know whether you can do it.
