Very tired, with PE plus CO in one day, its really one hell of a day. zzz
I feel that taking the initiative is very important....who noes the other party might not be so dao afterall. Haha. Hopefully I can make my life more enjoyable and noe more people.
Today there is the bio debate....surprising my team managed to win...of course its due to faisal's enormous contribution. otherwise confirm lose de as one "honouray member of our team" (as quoted by him) did not come.
I realised that in debate writing a speech is quite futile. Arguing from the point and convincing the audience is far more important.
To be honest if im stuck in the same predicament as you, I doubt I will be able to handle it at all. But really decision made is really up to you, as Im not in a position to interfere or anything, I cant help much...im so sorry. haiz.

::Lame Jokes Alert::
Just remembered that miss chua's math lessons. She made quite a few lame jokes, and the class responded by? Giving EVEN LAMER jokes. haha. Here are the few which I found it funny:
Questions (for answers scroll below)
1) In a fish tank, one of the fishes died. Will the water level increase or decrease as a result?
2)
H..Ma
!......!
C = C
!......!
Pa..H
Name this chemical compound. (hint hint think of isomerism and dun bother looking at your perodic table)
3a) Where does happy goes to eat?
b) Where does happy likes to go?
c) I cant remember part III (-.-)
.
.
.
.
.
Answers:
1) The fish tank's water level would increase. This is because all the fishes would feel very sad and cry, thus increasing the water level.
2) Trans-parent
3a) Macdonalds (Happy Meal!)
b) Lucky Plaza (Happy-go-lucky!)
lalalala. Just random lame jokes haha.

I dun really hold grudges....eventually everything would be like water...evaporating into the air, just leaving the slightest trace.
Yea today went to mug with Andy ng. Wasn't very efficient, as I expected, more like a catch-up session. Apparently he wasn't doing very well...hmm. Love is a poison we are willing to take? Sounds quite logical...however if it wasn't meant to be, then so be it. Dun think too much about it.
The year have just started....whether I would want to slack and just scrape through it, or give my very best, enjoying whatever I reaped, well...of course I would choose the latter.

The days are drawing closer...common tests (notice its plural) ARE coming in 5 weeks' time.
WAKE UP WAKE UP
*Slap slap.
I think I dream too much le.
Dreams are so not reality.
But without dreams, there won't be any improvement or progress.
As I have learnt in yltc, a goal is needed for anything to succeed.
Otherwise people will be just some lost kayaks in the middle of the sea.
Just what is my goal?
Things will never be the same again.
Actions speaks louder den words...
If we cant put those goals into action,
There would be no point talking about it to start with.
Haiz a stupid arguement.

OMG Im The new 06S07 CT Rep (along with silvia)!
It all started when our "dear" form teacher mrs lim wanted to find people without exco positions.
This is so as to ensure all the peeps in my class wld have smthing to write about CAL.
Agnus den immediately turned ard and ask me whether I have any position.
Being as honest as I am, I said nope.
She den told mrs lim about it.
I was -.-"
Mrs lim locked (and zoom in......!) on me with her eagle piercing eyes.
Eventually she managed to coax fishball to step down from ct rep as he have too many other commitments.
She turned around and said, "so You will be the class rep."
*Claps and bell rang, lesson ended.
Well if I really want to, I can just be a rep who just do the compulsory and ignored the rest.
But that sort of attitude wld be wasting my time.
Its nt just about one more thing to add in the portfolio
Its about experience and life...if better, fun!
Thus:
I swear henceforth I will be a responsible rep that just not fulfil all the sai kangs (manual labour), but also contribute to my uptmost best to be enthusiatic and use my time in the best possible way!
Okay I think its sounds too drastic.
Its
just a class rep, some might say.
Or not.
The second chance.....I will grab it with no regret.
-------------------------
Sat:
Sat was a very rainy day....quite surprised that I managed to drag myself to the gym.
And shurong and jonathon came! Surprise surprise!. Haha luckily shurong is still not taller den me yet. (jkjk!)
Guess will meet again cuz im will be (hopefully) going for JJ's Love Fiesta funfair (sounds so wrong)!
Sun:
Have a debate meeting with sm, faisal, astrid. Honestly I think we are the most hardworking group. The rest were like hmmmm...i think "Impromptu" would be a good phrase to use.

Today I got a letter from MINDEF. Guys should know what this means....NS IS coming!!! The letter just told me to register online and apply for deferment as Im under the category "Full-time education". I never really thought its full time until now -.-. This letter really reminds me that in one year's time, I will be entering another stage of my life (albeit relunctantly) to NS!! Having heard sooo many countless stories of people having a "wonderful" and "changed-their-life" experience at NS, I think Im actually looking forward to it LOLs. Haha some may say I have gotten brain-washed ^^.
CO practices...although may seem slack but its not. The juniors for my section came for their very first practice, and as expected, they were experienced players (as in having played the same instrument for 4 years in sec sch). So naturally they managed to play the set-piece Just by sight-reading!!! And they played it well too! Whoa. Quite impressed at them considering I spent like two months on the score before I can play it -.-. zzz. But I will still gambete de!! =D
Bio test today. Die die die and die. I actually tikam the last mcq question -.- Now its a struggle to pass the test, let alone getting As.
My form teacher mrs lim told us that under the new attendance marking system (the electronic tapping card system), as long as we have 80% attendance we would have "excellent". That means I can pon for....about one month to spend the 20%? Hmmmmmmmm. Ahh Im just being random.

Tmr is gonna be my brother's operation day for spine and release of pressure of brain. Hopefully he will be better after that.
First gym trip of the year! Ran 2.8km in total of 15 min...nt bad, considering this time includes the time I ran slowly at the start to warm up. And of course other weight exercises. In the end johnson came late and have to wait for him to finish -.-. Had lunch at a budget japanese restaurant in clementi. Food is okay okay only la...
Haiz why do I even bother? Its never gonna turn out the way I wanted it to be. Start afresh ba...lower your expectations...and sometimes you might see more things...

::First Proper Week of the Year::
My first proper week of the year has just ended. Totally exhausted now (my eyes is trying to close as im typing this entry).
On the academic side, it was still quite okay. Im still trying to find my old feeling of able to pick up key points in lecture rather den just blindly copying notes as I did in J1. Somehow knowing the examination format for each paper makes it easier for me to know what to catch and what to throw away from what the lecturer says.
Homework was quite terrible as I haven't completed some holiday assignments. I guess I would only do them when the time comes~~. Math was a mind-blowing wake up call. I seem to be worse in maths den I was sec 4. Hope I can find the interest and mechanism of how math works again. Practice practice and practice! Its gonna be so much easier if I can find the momentum again. Econs was hard but under mrs lim's careful hawkeye staring me, I find myself panicking to do her econs hw (albeit relunctantly). Bio and chem was very interesting haha.
Chinese orchestra practices start and end so late! CO is officially the cca that released the most late - 8pm for the orchestra prac and 8.30 for the sectionals. -.- It doesnt help that there are three practices a week. AHHH PLS start earlier!!! A blister appeared on my hand when i was plucking the string for the chinese new year song. About half of the song's time is used to pluck the string. After my poor index finger cannot stand it any longer, I used my middle finger instead. Also got blister later!! Anyways learnt two songs today, both of them easy, but they expect me to sightread and play on the spot when I received the score. It sux when you are standing there wondering where the note/rhtym is while the orchestra is playing, and it sux even more when the string that is plucked (and my poor finger!!) is wrong. zzzzz.
All this happened in just the first week. And many more events which was sad, happy moments etc.
However, as my senior once said, although J2 is tiring, cherish every moment with friends, my cca and mugging!! Its just one year, and its gonna be very short. Hopefully this first week is the signal to the start of many better weeks to come. =p
And before I forget! To sm: I dunno wat else to say, except thanks! =)

116th post. Haiz. For a blog that is two years old, this number of posts is kinda pathetic. But nvm. Its the quality that matters~ ^^.
School was "fun" when your life revolves around watching people (J1s) having fun while you are mugging ur brains out.
Wha liew RDS. What a cruel name. To think it also meant something similiar in chemistry (Rate-determining step -.-). Oh PLEASE spare me the chemistry jokes/humour/wadeva! Not gonna say the actual name out it is so zzzzz. Julie I must say you have fantastic imagination.
Done physiotherapy with Joslin today. (one of my brother's bike frens). Her wry humour and the "dare to joke" attitude really helped to liven up the glommy atmosphere there. Actually she is only one of the few good friends that were willing to help out in my brother's physio. The others who came occasionally were either unable to help due to some excuse, or would just stare at him...I think there were only a few friends who truly believed in my brother's recovery. True as it is, the future is not that optimistic. I must say its my brother's fortune to have such good friends. This leads me to think...would I have good friends like this who would be so loyal and caring even when I was semi-consicous, hardly able to see or sense anything and having doubts in the future?
TAGGY::
Tommy: Yea man tommy you should organise a gathering during mar holidays!
Andy: I already retired in mapling...just stayed to help new people out. Haha Im still so in onto Dota. Dunno why la...I guess one must have something to chill out in the midst of all the stress. I will be glad if the chers dun counter me LOLS. You also must gambete!
jp: That was random haha...
sm: -.- . Thats all i can say.

The 2nd day and 3rd day of school was a b1tch!
Thur:Wha liao all the teachers like suddenly come chase after us for hws. Gonna complete them in the weekend. Or die -.-. At CO practice until quite late as meichen and the others are practicing new songs. I tried to sightread abit la, but still can only manage the extremely simple "bass" part of spring. Haiz.
Fri:Woah the new maths lecturer is super lame sia. I tried to force me and and the people beside me aka julie not to fall asleep. When one boy tried to give a lame answer in return to him, he said
"Hey u better not be in my class! Cuz you will lose to me!:
OMG. The lamest teacher i ever seen.
Hmm. I was hoping I can manage gym, studying, studying in the two days. That wld mean I have to sarcrifice dota! Noooo~. Haiz. Can play abit = relaxing but, play too much = die. Must remember this.

::First Day of Skool::
Well Well first day of school huh. Started the day extremely badly due to my stomach, but luckily I managed to perserve all the way from my house to nj toilet. Okay this sux for an opening line, I know that.
All the teachers so far have been changed!!
Math: Miss Chua - My impression of her is that she's a strict teacher, but one that accepts some amusement and "active participation" from the class. Especially from fishball! haha. Hopefully she can be better den miss wong...
Econs: Mdm Tan - A.k.a as mrs.....something. Can't remember. I was scolded today because I almost fell asleep in her class. Well she wasn't talking abt anything impt anyways. She looks like a super strict, stands-no-nonsense type of teacher. Her trademark: "When I am talking, I DUN wan to hear a SINGLE Noise from you". zzz. I better not cross her as she is also going to be my new civics tutor!! OMGOMG. And one more thing - She ONLY cares about "A"s.
GP: Miss Tan. (How come all female teachers lol!). I bet I gonna fail GP like shyt because of her. She is boring. Plain B-O-R-I-N-G. She defintely need a more suitable sense of humour, cuz she sux now. Okay I think Im too blunt.
Chinese: Miss Zhang. (Lol another one). She's good a teacher, I know that very well as she's my first three months teacher last year. And she still remembers my face! Lol. Most likely we are gonna have fun in her class.
Okay, thats it about teachers.
Civics class has been changed. From CA6 all the way up to TB 33. Gosh. Luckily all 4 of my main subject classes and civic classes are all in there. It just sux when you have to go down and go up for lectures and stuff.
AND BTW I saw ONE newtowner here in NJ today! Must ask mr chan who is it someday.
Aw. So far maths and econs teacher have haunted my class for holiday hw. Sigh. Gonna complete them now. Ciao.
TAG REPLIES:
Kahyan: Haha. It appear long cuz its squashed in such a small blog. Hmm. Just checked it over word count...Maybe a bit long la...just over a thousand words..? LOL.
sm: *gulp. Hey wait...that doesn't make much sense....
jp: haha cannot remember that with ALL joy LOL. u shd understand wad i mean.
shuhui: thanks~~~ =)
johnson: actually....that post wasn't meant for you. But now that u mention it, it kinda fits now. I know the reasons why they dun wan to watch.

::My New Year Resolution::
As with a new year, all things start afresh. My mind is filled with a lot of things now, after reading the story Andy had just shown me. I think its really a touching story and if you have the time, read it. The Link:
http://www.goodybooks.com/ibelieveyou1.htmAnyways, My 10 New Year Resolution: (in no order)
1) Get 4 As for "A" Levels (I am so greedy =x)
2) SYF Gold for chinese orchestra (honours might be better) - I will practice to the best of my abilities.
3) Find more good friends in life! Admittedly, I have been too quiet in my life at nj. Perhaps things will be better if Im more open-minded...that brings me to my next point.
4) Talk more. (I really isn't that unfriendly...im just....a bit...shy.)
5) Be optimistic in whatever I do. Perserverance is the key.
6) Commit myself to my brother's physiotherapy...hopefully he will come out of coma someday.
7) Consistency. That is what I need.
8) Gym - I think I can afford once a week...and get myself fit...bringing to my next point
9) NAFA GOLD
10) Well....this I shall keep it to myself...for now.. =p

::Brand New Year - And the Night I will never forget::
Who would ever dream that on new year's day, seven poor chaps (Tommy, Jun De, Yong Sheng, John Paul, Samuel, Ek Leong, me) would be stuck in a seven eleven at an ungoldly 5am? This is definitely a day worth to remember.
Started the day at 2pm, doing physiotherapy on my brother. Weirdly though, he's been having fever lately. Doctors are searching everywhere for infections, from bone, (yes bone!!?), lungs, etc. Hopefully he will get well soon and be ready for surgery.
At West Mall (5pm to 10pm)After taking a taxi and a switch to a Mrt ride, I made it to West Mall. Well, I already expected the person in question to be late, thus I decided not to make futile attempts (lol) to wait at the mrt but to go west mall and buy tickets for death note 2, as well as visit comics connection. There's a big christmas tree over there!!! Not so many people as expected. Came across this death note notebook that comes with a feather pen! Wow! For $11.90 I tink its a good deal..but I still didn't make the purchase haha. Walked around until 6pm -.-"
Had dinner at kfc. Watched death note 2 after that. I think the plot of the story is already something worth commenting, and since I didn't read the manga in the first place, I had totally nothing to complain about the movie. Misa is ssoo pretty haha. Den thats one part in the movie I want to highlight. "Women tend to forget things easily", said Kira, and L actually agrees! LOL that is so true~ (oops!)
I was so mentally exhausted after watching the movie dunno why. After some rushed drink at coffee club which I found out I was actually mistaken???, I bought some chips and drinks for the peeps at marina. Got two choices to make - Route 1 - Take MRT up the north-south line (58minutes) and have a direct route to city hall (30 minutes). Route 2-Take to Jurong East and take to city hall. Not such a hard choice to make...haha but that does make me pang se people. Sry ah.
At Marina (10.30pm to 1am)Boy it was super crowded. The moment I reached the city hall station, an announcement goes:
"Dear passengers, the train station is overcrowded. Please leave the station if you are not taking the train."
Woah thats the first time that I heard of such things and I wonder what the reckus were all about. Went up the escalator and it was WOAH. Thousands, of people were jammed in city link. As I read from a blog somewhere, packed like sardines was an apt description. I was not tall, neither short, but still I could hardely breathe there. Many people were taking pictures of the massive crowd as they walked, but that just slowed down the traffic even more. But come to think of it now, I should have really taken a picture then haha.
Walked extremely slowly and emerged sweaty and breatheless out at marina square. The networks were busy at the time, which was very troublesome and inappropriate as I was trying to contact where they were. Finally got through when I reached a less crowded place. Turns out tommy and people had found a place up a staircase facing the bay, where the fireworks were let off. Chatted with samuel intensively about final fantasy that I didn't even notice the time. It was only when a huge bang and screams of joy filled the air did I realise it was 2007!
The fireworks were really brillant while it last, despite the short duration (about 5 minutes). Everybody was screaming with joy as each burst filled the darkness with red and green. I took quite a few videos, but had totally no idea how to convert them to upload to youtube.
The crowds were huge and there were no way we could have taken any transport out of marina. We followed the crowds, and walked in the direction of the singapore river area. Tommy introduced his gf, stephanie, to us. She's quite nice-looking, with a sweet smile. Didn't really get the chance to talk to her as ek leong was constantly bombarding her and tommy with his *ahem sarcastic jokes. Hey But guess what, thats what she wrote on her blog -
>>>"T" was garbed in a white shirt with black streaks running down the sides with an amiable approach to others. Well, his face seemed pleasant enough. Pretty quiet too. The only time I saw him speaking was when he flipped through this IT gizmo glossy magazine with Samuel. A gentleman, yes?<<<<
Oh well. My name got remembered as "T"? Hmmm.
The Midnight Trail (1am to 6am)Well, not so much of a trail anyways. We were frantically trying to flag a cab or a night rider bus. But there were many like minded people who walked out of marina, also trying to find a cab. WHO SAYS THE TRANSPORT SYSTEM IN SINGAPORE WAS EFFICIENT?
Went to relax a while and played pool at 2am. Could hardly aim the ball la. Tommy came back after escorting her to the taxi. Had many plans, including my fav, staying at hotel 81 until 6 am so that we can take a bus/mrt home. But yong sheng and samuel had to reach home pretty much desperately. One for all, All for one, So we went on and walk and walk. Me and Tommy were the optimistic guys, and we tried to spurred each other on. Its futile to complain about walking, so why not just enjoy the night? Its new year day! With this we went on and on, walked out of chinatown area, all the way to outram park area. Along the way, we saw many drunkards, who vomit all over the place.
Alas, there's still many "like-minded" people over there. We finally decided to rest at the seven eleven there. The staff there does not seem to mind our presence. Rested there and chatted. Still lethargy starts to set in and of course many wants to climb back to their warm beds at home. With refreshed energy we went back to outram park mrt area, hoping the mrt would come soon. Alas, even the mrt will only come at 6am. Rested on the road instead, and tommy started singing his scout songs. haha. We were like making lame jokes, having ridiculous dares. Its really hard to tell whether they were really frustrated or just having fun. No problem anyways, as I totally enjoyed my time.
Finally the taxi-booking call made through and we got a cab. Had to scream at the driver to tell him the exact location we are in though. But finally, its home at last. Arrived home at 6.15am.
The night is unforgetable, as Im sure me and the others will never forget it, and remember it for years to come.
